Concert Last Night

It's been a while, but since I should be studying, I'll make it short. Last night I went to the Neon Tree's concert At UNO's Lakefront Arena with Neill and Katy Mac. It was fun. Neon Trees were great, but I only knew three of their songs. I only could sing-along to one of their songs, Animal. Awesome song, by the way! I need to get more of their stuff.

We didn't know the two opening acts or even if there were gonna be opening acts, but it was nice. The first band was Young the Giant from California, which was decent. The second band was New Politics, From Copenhagen, Denmark. The lead singer was on crack! At least I thought so because of his dancing, which was like break dancing to the speed of someone on crack. It was awesome. We were somewhat far away, but I could tell he was a hot European man. I thought for sure his shirt would be off by the end of the show, but it wasn't. :( Oh well, I looked up some stuff on them, and decided to buy their CD on iTunes, cause I have a gift certificate so it won't cost me anything and I don't think I'll be able to find their stuff anywhere else.

I don't really have time to write much... but this weekend was VOODOO FEST and HALLOWEEN! So of course I was Katy Perry, my celebrity everything. I was her from her california gurls video. I didn't get the hair right, cause I couldn't find it and I ran out of time. But the cupcake bra was awesome.

On the other hand, I just wanted to post the new music video for firework... It's awesome. And of course she still has something shoot out of her breast!

Last Friday Night; Yeah I'm referencing a Katy Perry song

Well you guessed it, I'm writing about Friday night fun. Yesterday was the first Friday after school had started and the last Friday I have before I have a cross country meet every weekend. What do you do? Go out! And that is just what I did.

At 9 o'clock, I started to get ready. Angela just got off of work and had a late night snack at Pinkberry. She walk home an waited on our arrival. Neill decided I should leave around 10 o'clock to come pick him and the rest of them up for the night. Of course, I drove being the only one commited to staying sober, plus I have a valid licence unlike my sister. First, I made my way to Neill's. Then, it was to Katy's to pick her and Eric. They made quick pit stops at ATMs. Gotta have that money! Finally, It was Angela's place, but while waiting we picked up some Brother'c Chicken next door. That hit the spot.

Parking limited us. We chose to park across the train tracks near the river. But this only meant we couldn't stay out past 2 o'clock, cause that's when the parking lot closed.

Then it was off the the quarter. Soon after arriving at Bourbon, Neill, Katy, and Eric decided on hurricanes at Pat O's. While waiting outside with Angela (I couldn't get in cause I'm under 21), these two guys started to talk to us. Stupidly, they started in some sort of awful Spanglish. Angela even corrected on of the guys who confusingly said 'buenos tardes' instead of 'buenos noches'. After a minute of that bull, the younger one told me he could get me in to the building if I showed him my boobs. Angela immediately stated that he request was inappropriate, being that I was her little sister. At that point, I made a move to just walk away. As we were leaving he made a comment that it was natural and how I wanted to do it. I ignored him. I thought it was funny. Stupid drunk tourist.

We walked further down Bourbon, stopping only to drink and talk when room was available. When we finally reached gay Bourbon, there was this tranny in supper short plaid skirt, and both ass cheeks hangin'. It's a surprise you didn't see the twig and berries. Lots of duck tape must have been applied. Soon after she started to do her job as traffic directed between the heterosexual and homosexual side of Bourbon. On one of the walls of a building a Lady Gaga music video was being projected. Someone made a comment on how it was a gay man's version of the Batman signal in the sky. When projected at night, gay men swarm to. :D

Now time for the club. It was a 10 dollar cover charge for me cause I am underage. They have to make their money off me somehow. I paid for Angela's 5 dollar cover charge. When we got in Eric realized he was charged double for him and Katy. He went back for him money, and luckily got it.

Of course, Angela knew people there. Gay Loyola men! Drink decisions were made. Angela started off the night with a screw driver. Neill got a cranberry and vodka. I can't remember Eric's drink; I just know it was girly. And, Katy got a rum and coke, which was ruined by the sound of Justin Beiber's girlish voice. Every popular song on the radio... way cooler when remixed. Except Ke$ha; no remix is needed for a gay club. Hanging out down stairs was fun, but we made it upstairs for the dance floor. Shots were had. Dances were danced. Angela keep bumping into her friend and managed to run off and dance with him. At that point, she was too drunk. She said somethings that shall not be repeated, but were pretty damn funny and yet disturbing. She also said she loved me a lot. And, she kept kissing my cheek. At one point she said, 'I love you, don't let me fall on bourbon street.' Oh, and she decided dancing on the stage must be done. Luck, she didn't fall.

Soon we had to walk back, because of parking. Angela kept stopping to dance. She was really enjoying herself. When we made it back, I had spent my last dollar on parking. And then, I had to drop everyone off. When I got back, it was shower time for me. Ashley was already asleep. We had pictures in 6 hours and then practice. I should have been asleep, too.

Overall, it was a fun night. Who says you need to drink to have fun? Watching other people drunk off their ass can be just as amusing. :D

Good Day!

Today was, well a good day! I got to spend sometime with Brielle, a old high school cross country buddy.

First, I got to put some much needed money in my bank. We had lunch plans at La Madeleine's for 12:30 which got bumped to 1:00 and then later 1:30. But that was okay I spent the extra time at Barns & Nobles, where I got a cool tea strainer tumbler and My Booky Wook Russell Brand's Memoir of Drugs, Sex Addiction, and Stand-Up. This should be a good read. It is a New York Time's Best Seller and he's marrying the lovely Katy Perry.

At lunch I had a chicken cordon blu sandwich with chips, which was good. But, it was even better to be able to catch up with Bree. After that we headed to the shops in Perkins Rowe. At Urban Outfitters I got a plaid purple shirt, a wallet, and some cool nail polish!! After having no shoe finding luck we unsuccessfully checked out DSW and the mall. But Brielle had some success finding cool shades and jeans at Delia's. And, I got a $10 coupon to Delia's for trying on a pair of jeans. We finished off that visit with some lemonade at Cane's.

After that, we decided to go home and change to go run around the lakes. It was much more enjoyable than the boring runs I have. I loved the conversation. When I got back, mama had curry waiting for me. I almost didn't check the mail, but I'm glad I did. I finally got my replacement charger!!! I've been on the computer ever since! I love my computer! Good day! :D

Today was my birthday!

Today was my birthday. I started like normal. Homework at midnight cause I put it off! A call from my sister at midnight, complete with a birthday song. Soon after was my mom's call, complete with a better rendition of the 'happy birthday' song. Then it was my dad on facebook chat and later on the phone. Of course he had to pretend that it was his birthday, like he always does. It was getting late and he kept talking. But I finally got to sleep.

I awoke like any other day. A little depresses cause I couldn't enjoy it with all the school I had on my mind. I got dress in my cute new dress. I was suppose to be at Angela's at 8 am. But I was still tired. I didn't get there until 8:30 am. She cooked me wonderful blueberry pancakes, awesome bacon, and okay eggs. Then it was off to class.

Class was normal and boring. I just wanted to enjoy my day!

When I arrived back at Angela's, I came in to the living room with Lady GaGa's Alejandro music video finishing up on the big screen, and Angela in the shower. She got dressed and we decided to head over to Pinkberry. I wasn't to hungry so I got a mini mango! Afterwards, Angela had to stalk Margaret at Scriptura. We pretended like we were shopping for a Father's day card.

We ended up being late for the 2:20 showing of Sex and the City 2. We ended up shopping at at the Shops at Canal until 3:50, when our movie started. In that time, some engagement ring window shopping was worked in. The salesman was really nice and informative. He informed me that his house was my favorite house on Verdome St.

Sex and the City 2 was great. Being at the Theater at Canal, we had to eat in the movie. I got the panini, again. And, Angela got the mushroom pizza. The food was good. :)

Afterwards, we went to Angela's to change. I changed into a black shirt, skinny jeans, and black patent leather peep-toe heels. Neill arrived and we left for Zoe at the W hotel.

It was a nice chic setting. After everyone but me had gotten a drink, the bartender asked why I didn't get a drink being the birthday girl and all, to which I replied 'I'm not old enough!' He told me I should get a special drink (it being my birthday and all) and whipped me up a blueberry mojito like my sister. It was good, but I didn't finish it. I got the filet mignon, which came with mash potatoes and asparagus. It was awesome. There was this awesome cream cheese sauce on the filet.

After our meal, as a free birthday treat, I got a awesome chocolate mousse

with a meringue poodle on top and a chocolate that says 'Happy Anniversary' accompanied with raspberries. Angela was an unbeliever, and didn't think I could fit all 20 candles on it. I proved her wrong. Once lit, I blew it out. As I started to blow, I realized I hadn't thought of a wish, and quickly came up with one. We ate our mousse, which was good. And, then came the check.

Afterwards, we took pictures among the halls and lounges of the W hotel! And the retired to Angela's for some Youtube fun, about cat herders, literal versions of Total Eclipse of the Heart, and some Lady GaGa.

Now it's back in my dorm. Fifty minutes have gone since my last birthday. I have June 9th; it's the day you know you have to wait another 365 days or if it's a leap year 366 days until it's your special all-about-you day. Oh, next year! My twenty first birthday better be a blast in an awesome city far away.

Last day of School/ First Day of Summer

Today was my last final. It's finally summer.

After my final, I went to pick up Angela from school so she could have the car for her ESL class. We went back to her place so she could clean up, because she felt like a baby's diaper.

Angela needed to make something to bring for the surprise party held in her co-teacher's honor. She wanted to make babinka. Afterwards her shower, she realized she didn't have enough time to make babinka for her class so we left for a store. We tried Curry Corner, but it was closed. Then, we headed to Whole Foods, and after prowling around the bakery she decided she would just buy drinks.

Then it was on our way to ESL. But before we could get in the building, Neill called wanting to know if I could go to a movie. I was suppose to hang out with Angela at ESL, but instead I decided to go hang out with Neill. But first, we had to go eat, because I was unable to have a real meal for lunch. I just had a snickers. Katy came and she brought Tricia; it was great cause she used her Wave Bucks to pay for our meals. I got Panda Express! When we were done we dropped off the keys to Angela, and then dropped off Katy and Tricia.

Finally, we headed over to Clearview for Kick-Ass! And let me tell you, it was KICK ASS! I loved it. It was funny, thrilling, and the action was great. Hit Girl is awesome. Kick Ass is awesome. It was a well put together movie. I'm glad I saw it.

It's probably time for bed now... I didn't get to start on my packing for Baton Rouge... :( I guess I'll save that for the morning. Goodnight world!
